Daniel Negreanu is arguably the most popular and recognizable face in poker. Negreanu is the owner of four WSOP bracelets, two WPT titles and over $13 million in live tournament winnings. Negreanu’s positive image, likeable personality, and poker dominance are just a few reasons why he was chosen by PokerStars to represent them as their global ambassador of poker. He works tirelessly to promote the game around the world and always has time for his legions of fans.
Negreanu’s WSOP achievements began in 1998 when he became the youngest person at the time to ever to win a gold bracelet at just 23 years old, taking down the $2,000 Pot Limit Hold’em tournament. His second bracelet win came five years later in 2003, when he won the SHOE event.
Negreanu’s most successful year came in 2004. He started things off with a WPT Final Table, followed up with his third WSOP bracelet, and then won two WPT titles. He was later named Card Player Player of the Year, WPT Player of the Year and the WSOP Player of the Year.
While Negreanu’s felt accomplishments are amongst pokers greatest, his dedication to the game, overall poker acumen and charming persona are major factors in his rise to poker stardom. He has won more tournaments than any other poker player since 1997 and is a constant force in the largest cash games in Las Vegas. He’s also writes poker strategy books, mentors other players and appears in the poker media as a commentator and summarizer.
