We’re only a couple of hours away from the commencement of the inaugural iSeriesLIVE event in Dublin. Paddy Power is currently offering 35 different markets to bet on before the tournament begins. The odds in the majority of these markets will fluctuate as the tournament progresses and players are eliminated. Don’t forget that in addition to the 35 markets, you can watch the event via live stream and place wagers while the tournament progresses on prop bets like betting on the color of the flop cards.
At the present moment, there has not been any major movement with regard to the overall odds to win the entire event. The odds have not changed since the bookies set the original lines. Makes me wonder if this is just the quiet before the storm? All it takes is just one big bet from The Camel and his crew to alter the lines. My sources indicate that major betting syndicates in Las Vegas (including the one run by the legendary Billy Walters) and in London have not made a major play… yet. Are the sharks quietly circling and waiting to strike? Or will they be sitting this one out?

I’m a little surprised that Eoghan O’Dea’s odds haven’t changed considering he’s the local boy with home field advantage. The odds of him finishing fourth place or better are currently 11/10. The odds of a fifth place or worse finish are 4/6. You can bet on where O’Dea finishes here.
In addition, I expected Devilfish’s cronies (those Stella-guzzling hooligans from Hull) to jump all over his line. Also, the inclusion of two Germans split the money coming in from the Rhineland. While German politicians are scrambling to save the Euro and restore financial stability to the continent, the German punters are divided over their loyalty to Marvin Rettenmaier and Tobias Reinkemeier.
There’s been some movement in the first elimination. Daniel Negreanu opened at 10/1 and his odds dropped to 8/1. Danny Boy had a rough trip to Ireland after his luggage was misplaced by the airline. Danny forgot the golden rule to travel – always go carry-on! Talk about a horrendous bad beat. Nothing is worse than starting a new tournament series while being on mega-travel-tilt. Hopefully, Negreanu shakes it off by the time cards go in the air.
Updated First Elimination Odds:
Maria Ho (6/1)
Faraz Jaka (13/2)
James Dempsey (7/1)
Marvin Rettenmaier (7/1)
Tobias Reinkemeier (15/2)

Eoghan O’Dea (8/1)
Daniel Negreanu (8/1)

Just in case you were wondering, there’s also been minimal movement in the lines for the Top 2. Negreanu is still the favorite at 5/2 and surprisingly Phil Hellmuth is listed at 11/4, meanwhile hometown hero Eoghan O’Dea still ranks near the top at 3/1.
Updated Top 2 Finish Odds:
Daniel Negreanu (5/2)
Phil Hellmuth (11/4)
Eoghan O’Dea (3/1)
Tobias Reinkemeier (3/1)
Carlos Mortensen (3/1)
Dave Ulliott (7/2)
James Dempsey (7/2)
Faraz Jaka (7/2)
Marvin Rettenmaier (4/1)
Maria Ho (9/2)
